Strawberry Galette Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp coarse sugar (optional)
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Spoon the strawberry mixture into the center, leaving a 2-inch border.
  5. Fold the edges of the pastry over the strawberries.
  6. Brush the pastry edges with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly, then serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
