Strawberry Galette Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp coarse sugar (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla.
- Roll out the puff pastry onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spoon the strawberry mixture into the center, leaving a 2-inch border.
- Fold the edges of the pastry over the strawberries.
- Brush the pastry edges with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, then serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
