Beef Stew Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 g beef stew meat, cut into cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Brown the beef cubes on all sides.
  3. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and add the bay leaf.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
  7. Add carrots and potatoes, and cook for another 30–40 minutes until tender.
  8. Remove the bay leaf and serve hot.
