Vanilla Panna Cotta with Berry Sauce
Ingredients
For the Panna Cotta
- 500 ml heavy cream
- 250 ml whole milk
- 80 g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 10 g gelatin powder (or 5 gelatin sheets)
- 3 tbsp cold water
For the Berry Sauce
- 1 cup raspberries or mixed berries
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
For Garnish
- Fresh strawberries, sliced
- Fresh raspberries
- Mint leaves
- Crushed biscuits or cookie crumbs
Instructions
- Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- In a saucepan, heat the cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla until warm (do not boil).
- Remove from heat and stir in the gelatin until fully dissolved.
- Pour into molds or serving glasses.
- Refrigerate for at least 4–6 hours until set.
- For the sauce, cook berries, sugar, and lemon juice for 5 minutes.
- Blend and strain if desired.
- Unmold the panna cotta onto a plate.
- Drizzle with berry sauce and decorate with strawberries, raspberries, mint leaves, and cookie crumbs.
