Creamy Beef Lasagna Gratin
Ingredients
- 12 lasagna sheets
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 700 ml marinara sauce
- 250 ml heavy cream
- 250 g ricotta cheese
- 250 g mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 100 g Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet and cook the onion until soft. Add the garlic and ground beef, cooking until browned.
- Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the ricotta with the heavy cream until smooth.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in a baking dish.
- Layer lasagna sheets, ricotta mixture, meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Finish with a generous layer of mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
- Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes, then garnish with fresh basil before serving.
