Mozzarella Stuffed Chicken
Ingredients (Serves 4)
For the Chicken
- 4 chicken breasts
- 200 g fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Optional Garlic Butter Sauce
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 tsp lemon juice
👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Cut a pocket into each chicken breast without slicing all the way through.
- Stuff each breast with mozzarella, parsley, garlic, and a little Italian seasoning.
- Secure with toothpicks if needed.
- Mix paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then season both sides of the chicken.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
- Transfer to the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- For the sauce, melt butter in the same pan, sauté garlic for 30 seconds, stir in parsley and lemon juice, then spoon over the chicken.
- Serve hot with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
