Garlic Butter Steak and Crispy Potatoes
Ingredients
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
- 500 g baby potatoes, halved
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 5 garlic cloves, smashed
- 2 fresh rosemary sprigs
- 2 fresh thyme sprigs
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Toss the potatoes with olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper. Roast for 30–35 minutes until crispy and golden.
- Pat the steaks dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat with a little olive oil.
- Sear the steaks for 3–4 minutes per side (or to your preferred doneness).
- Add butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Baste the steaks with the melted butter for 2 minutes.
- Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with the crispy roasted potatoes and drizzle with the garlic herb butter.
