Creamy Lemon Butter Chicken
Ingredients
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 250 ml heavy cream
- 60 g grated Parmesan cheese
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the garlic for 30 seconds.
- Add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
- Cook for another 2–3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with mashed potatoes, pasta, or steamed vegetables.
