Creamy Lemon Butter Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 250 ml heavy cream
  • 60 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the garlic for 30 seconds.
  5. Add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  6. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
  8. Cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with mashed potatoes, pasta, or steamed vegetables.
