Beef with Apples and Onion Gravy
Ingredients
- 500 g beef sirloin, sliced
- 2 apples, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 150 ml beef broth
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp fresh thyme
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the beef with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the beef until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Melt butter in the same skillet and sauté onions until golden.
- Add apple slices and cook until lightly caramelized.
- Stir in garlic and thyme.
- Pour in beef broth and Dijon mustard, stirring well.
- Return the beef to the skillet and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
