Garlic Butter Chicken with Parmesan Pasta
Ingredients
For the Chicken
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
Pasta
- 300 g (10 oz) spaghetti
- Salted water for boiling
- Extra Parmesan for serving
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to the package directions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from the pan.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds.
- Add the chicken broth and heavy cream, then stir in the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over the top.
- Toss the cooked spaghetti with a little butter, Parmesan, and a splash of the reserved pasta water if needed.
- Serve the chicken alongside the Parmesan spaghetti, garnish with parsley, and enjoy.
