Creamy Garlic Parmesan Steak Pasta

Ingredients

For the Steak

  • 450 g (1 lb) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized strips
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

For the Pasta

  • 300 g fettuccine or linguine
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 200 g mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, sliced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup of the pasta water.
  2. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over high heat.
  4. Sear the steak for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the garlic for 30 seconds.
  6. Add the mushrooms and cook until golden.
  7. Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes and cook for another minute.
  8. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  9. Add the Parmesan and mozzarella, stirring until smooth and creamy.
  10. Toss in the cooked pasta, adding a little reserved pasta water if needed.
  11. Return the steak to the skillet and gently combine.
  12. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
