Cheesy Steak & Fries Skillet
A quick and satisfying one-pan meal featuring tender beef strips, caramelized onions, crispy French fries, and plenty of melted mozzarella cheese. Perfect on its own or served in sandwich rolls!
Ingredients
- 500 g beef steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cups frozen or homemade French fries, cooked until crispy
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the French fries according to the package instructions or fry until crispy. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced beef and cook for 4–5 minutes until browned.
- Stir in the sliced onion and cook until softened and lightly caramelized.
- Season with paprika, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Add the crispy French fries to the skillet and gently toss to combine.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
- Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Optional Serving Ideas
- Stuff into toasted sandwich rolls.
- Serve with garlic sauce, mayonnaise, or spicy sauce.
- Pair with a fresh salad or pickles.
