Cheesy Meatball Stuffed Garlic Bread
Ingredients
For the Meatballs
- 500 g (1 lb) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
For the Bread
- 1 large French baguette or Italian loaf
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan, parsley, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and shape into meatballs.
- Cook the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked.
- Slice the loaf lengthwise and hollow out some of the soft bread to create room for the filling.
- Brush the inside with melted garlic butter.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce inside the bread.
- Arrange the meatballs evenly, then cover generously with mozzarella cheese.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with extra marinara sauce.
