Apple Cream Pie Recipe

Ingredients

For the Crust

  • 250 g (2 cups) graham cracker or digestive biscuit crumbs
  • 100 g (7 tbsp) melted butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar

For the Apple Filling

  • 5–6 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 70 g (⅓ cup) brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water

For the Cream Layer

  • 250 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 200 ml (¾ cup) heavy whipping cream
  • 50 g (¼ cup) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For Garnish

  • Whipped cream
  • Apple slices
  • Cocoa powder or ground cinnamon for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Mix the biscuit crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press firmly into a 9-inch pie pan, covering the bottom and sides.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  4. In a skillet, melt the butter and cook the apples with the brown sugar and cinnamon for about 8–10 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook for another 1–2 minutes until thickened. Allow the filling to cool.
  6. Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks, then gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Spread the cooled apple filling over the crust.
  9. Spoon or pipe the cream mixture on top.
  10. Decorate with whipped cream, apple slices, and a light dusting of cocoa powder or cinnamon.
  11. Chill the pie for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.
