Crispy Smashed Taco Wraps
Ingredients (Serves 4)
For the Wraps
- 1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp taco seasoning
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
For the Filling
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato, diced
- ¼ cup diced red onion
- Pickle slices (optional)
For the Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- Mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, and paprika to make the burger sauce.
- Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and press each portion into a thin layer over one side of a tortilla.
- Season the beef with taco seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and place the tortilla beef-side down. Cook for 4–5 minutes until the beef is browned and crispy.
- Flip the tortilla and sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Cover for 1–2 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Remove from the skillet and top with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and burger sauce.
- Fold the tortilla in half and serve immediately with fries or a fresh salad.
