Tortilla Kebab Skewers

Ingredients

  • Tortilla wraps
  • 500 g minced meat (beef or lamb)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp sour cream
  • Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 2–3 sprigs fresh coriander
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Paprika

Sauce

  • 50 g butter
  • 50 g vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • Chili flakes or chili powder (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Blend the onion, bell pepper, garlic, and coriander until finely chopped.
  2. Squeeze out the excess liquid from the vegetables.
  3. Mix them with the minced meat.
  4. Add the sour cream, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
  5. Trim the round edges of the tortillas if desired.
  6. Spread a thin layer of the meat mixture over one tortilla and sprinkle with mozzarella.
  7. Repeat the layers 6–7 times.
  8. Cut the stacked tortillas into thick strips.
  9. Insert wooden skewers through each strip.
  10. Brush generously with the butter, oil, tomato paste, and chili mixture.
  11. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for about 30–35 minutes, turning once halfway through and brushing with more sauce if desired.
  12. Serve hot with a garlic yogurt sauce or ranch dip.
