Steak Bites with Creamy Peppercorn Sauce

Ingredients

  • 600 g sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 120 ml beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp crushed black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the steak bites with salt and crushed black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
  3. Sear the steak bites for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. Melt the butter in the same skillet and sauté the garlic for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up any browned bits.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and crushed peppercorns.
  7. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss until evenly coated.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with mashed potatoes, fries, or crusty bread.
