Steak Bites with Creamy Peppercorn Sauce
Ingredients
- 600 g sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 120 ml beef broth
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp crushed black peppercorns
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Season the steak bites with salt and crushed black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
- Sear the steak bites for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Melt the butter in the same skillet and sauté the garlic for 30 seconds.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up any browned bits.
- Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and crushed peppercorns.
- Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss until evenly coated.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with mashed potatoes, fries, or crusty bread.
