Tortilla Kebab Skewers
Ingredients
- Tortilla wraps
- 500 g minced meat (beef or lamb)
- 1 onion
- 1 red bell pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp sour cream
- Mozzarella cheese, grated
- 2–3 sprigs fresh coriander
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Paprika
Sauce
- 50 g butter
- 50 g vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- Chili flakes or chili powder (to taste)
Instructions
- Blend the onion, bell pepper, garlic, and coriander until finely chopped.
- Squeeze out the excess liquid from the vegetables.
- Mix them with the minced meat.
- Add the sour cream, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
- Trim the round edges of the tortillas if desired.
- Spread a thin layer of the meat mixture over one tortilla and sprinkle with mozzarella.
- Repeat the layers 6–7 times.
- Cut the stacked tortillas into thick strips.
- Insert wooden skewers through each strip.
- Brush generously with the butter, oil, tomato paste, and chili mixture.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for about 30–35 minutes, turning once halfway through and brushing with more sauce if desired.
- Serve hot with a garlic yogurt sauce or ranch dip.
