Cheesy Meatball Stuffed Garlic Bread

Ingredients

For the Meatballs

  • 500 g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

For the Bread

  • 1 large French baguette or Italian loaf
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan, parsley, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and shape into meatballs.
  3. Cook the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked.
  4. Slice the loaf lengthwise and hollow out some of the soft bread to create room for the filling.
  5. Brush the inside with melted garlic butter.
  6. Spread a layer of marinara sauce inside the bread.
  7. Arrange the meatballs evenly, then cover generously with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with extra marinara sauce.
